Welcome to the Robin Wilks Photography/Latimer Quilt & Textile Open Charity Challenge
In November/December 2010 there will be a show featuring the following ten photographs side by side with their fiber art translations. This is a charity challenge; all entries and photographs will be available for sale and all proceeds will go to the charity of the artist's choice. This challenge is open to 40 entries, four entries per photograph. Entrants can choose which photograph they would like to translate into their chosen mixed media or fiber art on a first come, first served basis. Entries must be no larger than 30"x30" and must be ready to hang. Entries/artwork must also be free of any text or images that are protected from copyright. Ballots will be passed out to viewers and guests of Latimer during the showing asking for votes. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd place entry will be awarded the following: 1st-matted and framed 11x14 photo of the entrant's translated photo, 2nd-matted and framed 8x10 photo of the entrant's translated photo, 3rd-matted and framed 5x7 photo of the entrant's translated photo. There will be a $15.00 entry fee, payable to Latimer Quilt & Textile.
